The Charity

The charity, Cheltenham Almshouses & Aid, owns and manages four sets of almshouses in Cheltenham. It is run by a board of voluntary trustees, and administered in accordance with schemes prepared by the Charity Commission. The day-to-day supervision is undertaken by the Clerk, the Administrator and the Trustees for all four charities.

The almshouses are conveniently located in Cheltenham, close to all the amenities of the town and public transport. The majority of our almshouses are on the small side but they are bright, modern and well maintained.

Please note that there are no Wardens at the properties. The charity does not provide care, and as such, residents must be capable of living not only as part of a community, but also independently.

If you are interested in becoming a Trustee, and live in the local area, please complete the contact form and we will be in touch.
